Fort Worth-based ECI Software Solutions, a leader in AI-powered, cloud-based business management software and services, announced it has acquired Amper Technologies, Inc., a manufacturing execution system company that provides factories with real-time visibility into their shop floors.
According to a press release, the acquisition enhances ECI’s commitment to AI-driven innovation by integrating Amper’s predictive insights designed to help manufacturers operate more efficiently.
Amper’s FactoryOS® platform is built to close the gap between enterprise resource planning (ERP) and real-time production. The system connects to any machine on the shop floor — regardless of age or brand — and delivers immediate insights into machine performance, job progress, and labor metrics. By surfacing issues automatically, identifying bottlenecks, and guiding decision-making with AI-powered analytics, Amper provides manufacturers with a seamless and more predictable production experience.
“Manufacturers need clear, real-time insight into what’s happening on their shop floors, and Amper delivers that through simple, modern, and AI-powered technology,” said Trevor Gruenewald, CEO of ECI Software Solutions, in a statement. “By bringing the FactoryOS platform into ECI, we can connect shop floor intelligence with our ERP systems in a way not previously possible. This gives customers a unified, end-to-end view of their operations and a smarter, more efficient production environment powered by modern AI capabilities.”
The FactoryOS platform strengthens ECI’s manufacturing suite with an AI-powered copilot that summarizes performance, predicts issues, updates progress automatically, and guides operators with live data. Additional features include smart scheduling tools that sequence jobs and flag delays, live machine insights measuring uptime, downtime, OEE, scrap, and cycle counts, and labor analytics that highlight workforce performance and training needs.
“Joining ECI gives us the scale and acceleration needed to increase the operational efficiency delivered to our customers,” said Brad Bullington, CEO of Amper Technologies. “With ECI’s manufacturing expertise and our shared commitment to solving real challenges on the shop floor, we’re ready to bring even greater value to our team, our technology, and our customers.”
