Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are planning to keep it old school with their baby’s name.
While speaking with PEOPLE exclusively during his recent shoot with eBay for their new “Built to Spec” series, the Saturday Night Live alum, 32, gave a glimpse into how the couple is prepping for their baby-on-the-way.
Davidson, who says the couple is “just excited to meet this little thing,” shares that while they haven’t settled on a name — at least not one they’re ready to share — it’s likely not going to be a “weird Hollywood” moniker.
“For a while, we were like, should we do that weird Hollywood thing where it’s like a color or something? And then I think we’re more into the Staten Island normal,” Davidson says of his native New York City borough. “Mikey, Johnny, Tommy, Mark or Amy, Bridget, Maggie sort of route, because that’s missing, I miss that. Remember when you were growing up, you knew like seven Franks?”

While the couple might play it safe on the first name, Davidson says they may spice it up with the middle name.
“We were thinking the middle name could be a little fun,” he says.
In addition to talking baby names, Davidson’s fatherhood prep has also included a partnership with eBay to create the ultimate “dad van” complete with a changing station in the trunk, mini fridge and a VHS player.
As part of the project, builder Tony Angelo also created a second vehicle to be auctioned off to raise money for Answer the Call — a nonprofit that helps families of fallen New York City first responders. eBay will match the winning bid up to $50,000.

Davidson and Hewitt first went public with their relationship in March. Recently, the model and actress, 29, said she knew from the start that they’d one day start a family together.
“When we went on our first date, like we went out to dinner for the first time, I was like, ‘Okay, don’t think that I’m crazy, but I just know you’re going to be the father of my children,” Hewitt told Bumble for a campaign. “And he was like, ‘Yeah.'”
For Davidson, the feeling was mutual.

“You know those things that you think, and you’re not supposed to say them yet, we both just say them,” he tells PEOPLE. “So, it was nice to meet someone like that. Just very straightforward and not wasting time.”
“We definitely didn’t waste time,” he adds with a laugh.
