We’re looking at our list, and checking it twice, all to find the coziest happenings that speak to the sweater-iest season and its chillier character.

Of course, things aren’t too chilly around Southern California as the middle stretch of December arrives, but a cozy convention full of leafy flair is landing at ROW DTLA Dec. 14.

Well, a convention of sorts: A free Festival of Tea will flower at Smorgasburg LA, giving those locals who adore a rich cup of something toasty and deep the chance to enjoy tea ceremonies and more.

The “and more” part is truly more-y, for “interactive activities” are on the schedule, and the opportunity to shop for gifts (this is taking place just 11 days ahead of Christmas).

Smorgasburg LA has been in the holiday swing for a few Sundays, with one more festive event to go: A Very Caribbean Christmas. That’s happening Dec. 21, with music and eats to reflect the convivial spirit.

As always, admission is free to the stroll-around, shop-around, sup-around event.

Dogs should stay home, please keep in mind.

The question is this: Will things cool off, just a bit, by Dec. 14? The forecast confirms this, at least by a few degrees.

So don your favorite tea-sipping sweater — maybe a jumper that’s on the lighter side — and attend a pay-nothing party to toast your favorite leaf-strong libation.
