“Our number one priority is to preserve access to critical services for the people of our communities. CMH and Albany Med have been very transparent from our first town hall in October to multiple community conversations. Our proposal would strengthen health care access, sustainability, and equity across Columbia and Greene counties. It is also subject to state and federal approval. We remain in open dialogue with our patients and neighbors, because we are committed to providing the best care now and long into the future. It must be restated that CMH is not closing and is not planning any layoffs. In fact, we are recruiting for more than 100 positions. We are also investing in the significant expansion of mental health care and Greene Medical Arts in Catskill, with same-day surgeries and additional specialties.”
