Dan Davis’ daughter, Wendy Davis, says two weeks ago, her 59-year-old father got in a car crash and refused medical attention.

She says he then came to 115 Bourbon Street, the Merrionette Park bar where he works, about 1 mile away from the scene of the crash.

Dan was last seen leaving the bar on Nov. 25. His family says they believe he may have sustained some kind of head injury.

The following day, his family shared surveillance video showing Dan in neighboring Blue Island.

Dan was seen near St. Donatus Church and was believed to be seen, on camera, walking along Old Western Avenue on Nov. 26.

Since he has been missing, family and friends have been searching nonstop.

Dan’s loved ones gathered with the hopes he will be found safe, and soon, on Tuesday night.

“He never missed a day,” said 115 Bourbon Street owner Nick Dinovo. “We’ve seen miracles before, and we’re asking for one now. We need him back.”

After the vigil, Wendy led a new search effort.

“We’re going to have different zones of people squared away, and we’re going to look down alleys. We’re going to hand out fliers. We’re going to do the same thing that we’ve been doing for two weeks,” she said.

Coworkers say Dan is the magic behind the scenes at the south suburban venue. Now, his community is determined to keep the spotlight on the efforts to bring him home.

“He loved making people happy. If you see them behind the board, everybody knew him, and they knew what he was here to do,” Nick said.

Chicago police are handling the missing person case.

“I know that he would drop the world for me, and I wish that he could just see how many people are doing the same thing for him,” Wendy said.
