CHICAGO (WLS) — Snow and wind are expected to make for a messy morning commute in the Chicago area Wednesday.
ABC7 Accuweather Meteorologist Tracy Butler said snow will develop around 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Butler said there is likely only a half-an-inch of an inch of snow, but strong winds will make travel conditions messy.

The snow is expected to wrap up around 1 p.m., but it will remain windy. Temperatures will be falling through the day and be much colder in the afternoon.

Thursday will be cold, with temperatures in the 20s.
A clipper system may hit the area Thursday night into Friday morning, producing some snow.
Several inches of snow are possible Saturday, as well.
Bitter cold is expected Saturday and Sunday.
