The San Diego Division of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Wednesday announced the seizure of firearms and drugs as part of an effort authorities call “Operation Fentanyl-Free America.”
The October anti-drug initiative netted around seven firearms, 21 kg of cocaine, 34 kg of methamphetamine, 30 kg of fentanyl powder, 2,000 counterfeit pills and other unspecified drugs across Imperial and San Diego counties, according to DEA officials.
The San Diego Division office also covers Carlsbad and San Ysidro.
