PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One person is dead after being involved in a crash on a freeway near Sky Harbor Airport overnight.
Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers responded to the crash involving a motorcycle on the Red Mountain Loop 202 near Priest Drive, on the border of Phoenix and Tempe, just before 1 a.m. on Thursday.
The motorcyclist was killed in the crash, according to DPS, but has not yet been publicly identified.

It’s unclear what led to the crash. A damaged white Toyota Camry could be seen inside the crash site.
The freeway was closed overnight with all traffic exiting at Priest Drive, but it reopened around 4:30 a.m.
