NEPTUNE BEACH, Fla. – City officials adjusted the prices of its holiday parking after hearing from local merchants and business owners.
Here are the changes:
Daytime parking rate $2.50 per hour
• Evening rate $5.00 per hour (from 5:00 p.m. until midnight)
• One half-hour grace period for quick stops and pickups will continue
• Free parking for Neptune Beach residents and Atlantic Beach residents. Those who are not already registered for four hours of free parking each day can do so by clicking here.
The city said its goal is to support local businesses while making it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy the town.
Officials thanked the shop owners and community members who gave feedback.
This adjustment comes after a Neptune Beach town center employee created a Change.org petition out of frustration with the “unfair burden of high parking fees.”
