WNBA star Angel Reese provided a rare update on her personal life this week.
Reese is coming off another All-Star season where she averaged 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds per game for the Chicago Sky. Although she’s been out of the headlines for the past two months, she recently returned because Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. suggested that they’re dating.
“That’s the homie for sure,” Carter said when asked about Reese on FanDuel TV. “We locked in.”
Well, the romance rumors surrounding Carter and Reese were confirmed this week.

On Wednesday night, Reese shared photos of her wearing a Magic jersey with “My Man” on the back of it. The final image from her slideshow has Carter’s hand around her waist.
Carter couldn’t help but leave this comment on Reese’s latest Instagram post: “overly.”
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long for Reese’s post to go viral. It’s essentially her way of hard-launching her relationship.
Angel Reese’s WNBA future is unclear.
Even though Reese is considered the face of the franchise in Chicago, there’s no guarantee she’ll want to stay there for the 2026 season. During a mid-season interview with the Chicago Tribune, she expressed her frustration with the supporting cast.
“I’m not settling for the same s— we did this year,” Reese told the Chicago Tribune. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a nonnegotiable for me. I’m willing and wanting to play with the best. And however I can help to get the best here, that’s what I’m going to do this offseason to make sure we attract the best of the best, because we can’t settle for what we have this year.”
Only time will tell if Reese remains in the Windy City. She’s got time to think about her future since it’s the offseason.
As for Reese’s love life, it certainly seems like things are going well.
