A man was shot and killed in Fort Worth on Sunday morning following a fight that was broken up by witnesses, police said.

A man with a gunshot wound to his torso was found by police around 2:40 a.m. in the 3100 block of North Main Street, Fort Worth police said in a news release.

Detectives determined that the victim had been approached by the suspect and others and they were involved in a physical altercation before the shooting, police said.

After the fight was broken up by witnesses, the suspects went to a vehicle in the parking lot, retrieved weapons and fired at the victim, police said.

The suspects then fled in a dark colored vehicle.

The victim was taken to a hospital for medical treatment but did not survive his injuries, police said.

The suspects have yet to be arrested, police said.
