Jon Runyan Jr. spent two years in meetings and practices with Sherrone Moore but suddenly feels like he doesn’t know the person at the center of college football’s biggest scandal.

Within an hour’s time Wednesday, Moore was fired as head coach by Michigan for “credible evidence” of an “inappropriate relationship with a staff member” and investigated by police for an alleged assault.

He was arrested later that night after a 911 call by a university employee who said that he was “suicidal” and had been stalking her for four months.

“It’s extremely disappointing,” Runyan Jr., the Giants left guard and one of 43 former Wolverines who was on an NFL roster when the season began, told The Post. “I was with him for two years and knew his family, and didn’t know the person that we’re seeing now. It’s embarrassing for him, for a really prestigious program and to the families involved.”

Runyan Jr. would like to see Michigan break from the Jim Harbaugh Era and hire Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich to clean up the program.

Stenavich is a Michigan alum from the Lloyd Carr era and coached Runyan Jr. during the latter’s four years with the Packers prior to signing a three-year, $30 million free-agent contract with the Giants.

“He’s the best coach I think I’ve ever had from an Xs and Os standpoint,” Runyan Jr. said. “He’s still an offensive lineman at heart. He’s hard on guys, but he gets a lot out of people.”

Moore was an assistant coach working with tight ends and offensive tackles (like Runyan) in 2018-19.

He eventually worked his way to offensive coordinator and succeeded Harbaugh.
