A tourist was repeatedly stabbed by a crazed homeless woman inside Macy’s Herald Square Thursday afternoon amid the packed holiday shopping rush, according to cops and law enforcement sources.
The 38-year-old California victim, who was shopping with her husband during the Big Apple’s crowded holiday season, was knifed in the back, shoulder, and arm in the seventh-floor bathroom of the flagship store in Midtown at 3:13 p.m., police and sources said.
The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to her back and a laceration on her right arm, cops said.

She was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

The victim, visiting from Jurupa Valley, works as a civilian for the state’s sheriff’s office, where her husband serves as a sheriff, sources said.
A female person of interest has since been taken into custody, according to police.

No charges have been filed.
“We are deeply saddened about the incident that took place today as the safety of our customers and colleagues is our top priority,” a Macy’s spokesperson said in a statement to The Post Thursday night.
The investigation is ongoing.
