National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation may just be the most rewatchable Christmas movies of all time. Lead by Chevy Chase in his iconic performance as Clark Griswold – a Christmas fan just trying to do right by his family – the movie is pure holiday joy. You can rewatch the movie again, or you can do yourself one better: watch the film with the man, himself, Chevy Chase, in person this December in Houston.
For our younger readers out there, Chevy Chase is an iconic actor, comedian, and writer. Chase was a part of the original SNL cast where he would soon become a star. In addition to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and five other films under the National Lampoon banner, Chase was the lead in movies like Caddyshack, Fletch, and Three Amigos! More recently, Chase is known for his role as Pierce Hawthorne in the NBC sitcom, Community.
“A Live Conversation with Chevy Chase” will be taking place this coming Monday, December 15, at Smart Financial Centre. The event will feature a special screening of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, followed by a live interview with Chase and his wife, Jayni. Here, visitors can expect Chase’s classic wit, as well as behind-the-scenes stories, humorous anecdotes, and insights from his National Lampoon Vacation movies, Caddyshack, Saturday Night Love, and others.
The event will also feature a special Q&A, where guests can ask Chase whatever is on their minds.
“Chevy and Jayni will share their behind-the-scenes stories and personal anecdotes about the making of this beloved movie that has become a Christmas tradition. But the laughter doesn’t stop there! We’ll also be taking questions from the audience, giving you the chance to have your questions answered and hear firsthand from Chevy about his storied career including SNL, Caddyshack and so much more.”
“A Live Conversation with Chevy Chase” will take place at Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land Monday, December 15. Tickets to the event are on sale through the Smart Financial Centre website starting at $44. VIP tickets are also on sale, that allows for ticket holders to snap a photo with Chase.
