The Wisconsin Badgers have seen quite a few players announce their departure for the transfer portal already, so it’s time to open up our annual transfer portal thread.
We’ll be noting every key player that has left the Badgers as the month goes along, and will also have a thread to track all the latest incoming transfers as well, once that starts to pick up in January.
So far, the Badgers have lost a few starters, as well as some reserve players, opening up some needs to address when they do start adding players.
Here’s the latest with transfer portal departures for Wisconsin.
C Jake Renfro: Starting center Jake Renfro is getting a medical hardship year and will enter the transfer portal for his seventh year of college football. He had been with the Badgers for the past three years, but dealt with injuries in 2023 and 2025.
OLB Angel Toombs: Walk-on outside linebacker/defensive end Angel Toombs is entering the transfer portal with three years of eligibility left.
RB Cade Yacamelli: Running back Cade Yacamelli is entering the transfer portal for his final year of eligibility. A rotational running back the last two seasons, Yacamelli was a regular on special teams, but could never carve out a significant role in the offense despite having great athleticism. He’ll look elsewhere for his final year of college football.
