To agree to the new deal, Irving had declined his $43.9 million player option for the 2025-26 season.
Irving, a nine-time All-Star, had no plans of leaving Dallas. The 33-year-old guard is expected to miss a significant portion of the 2025-26 campaign after sustaining an ACL tear in his left leg last season.
