VAN CORTLANDT PARK, The Bronx (PIX11) — Skeletal remains of a person were found inside Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on Friday, according to police.
Authorities reported to park near the Major Deegan just before 11:45 a.m. after receiving a call. The remains were found in a wooded area inside the park, officials reported.
How the remains got there and how the person may have died are now under investigation by police and the Office of the Medical Examiner.
