3 dead in Panorama City crash

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash in Panorama City that left three people dead on Friday night. 

What we know:

LAPD investigators said a three-car crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Woodman Avenue and Terra Bella Street. A gray Plymouth minivan was speeding westbound on Terra Bella Street when the driver did not stop for a red light. The van then collided with a blue Ford Mustang and a tan Honda Civic that were going southbound on Woodland Ave. 

Investigators believe the driver of the minivan left the scene of a separate crash earlier in the evening.

Following the crash, officials said the driver of the Civic got out of the vehicle and left the scene. 

The driver of the minivan, and the driver and passenger of the Ford Mustang were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

What we don’t know:

The names of the crash victims have not been released pending next-of-kin notification.
