Fort Worth police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting outside a nightclub on the city’s Northside early Sunday.

Officers responded to the shooting about 2:30 a.m. July 6 in the 3100 block of N. Main Street, police said.

When officers arrived, they found the victim on the ground in the club’s parking lot with an apparent gunshot wound to his torso, police said. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives determined the victim was approached by a suspect and additional people were involved in a fight that was broken up by witnesses. Multiple suspects went to a car in the parking lot, retrieved guns and fired at the victim, striking him at least one time, police said.

Police said the suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle. No arrests have been made.
