Brown Hiking Trails has a pet deer who stars in many of their videos alongside his Golden Retriever and feline siblings. The family recently got their first snowfall of the season, and the dogs and deer couldn’t wait to get outside and play, as you’ll see in this adorable clip.
The video opens with a lively game of chase, with the dogs sprinting after the deer, who then turn the tables and chase them right back. But it isn’t long before the deer gets so excited that he breaks into a full case of the zoomies. His joyful sprints through the trees are guaranteed to make you smile!
Talk about a winter wonderland! Videos of animals playing in nature are always such a joy to watch! We’re used to seeing the deer in the house, so it’s nice to see him running and enjoying the outdoors like a wild deer.

Zoomies, also called FRAPs (Frenetic Random Activity Periods), are a common way for animals to burn off energy and express joy and happiness. When pets get overly excited, you might see sudden bursts of running, leaping, and darting around. While young animals tend to do it more often, even older pets can surprise you with a zoomie session. It’s a great sign that you have a happy, healthy pet on your hands!
