Two Tri-State natives go to play off in 2025 PDGA Professional Masters World Championship final

TWIN CITIES, Minn. (WFIE) – A man from Evansville has topped the leaderboard in the Mixed Pro 40+ group of the Pro Disc Golf Association Masters.

Paul Oman finished the final day of the Championship 43 under according to the PDGA’s website.

Oman ended the first round Tuesday, played at Blue Ribbon Pines Disc Golf Course, 7 under for the round, leaving him tied for 10th.

The second round Wednesday at Kaposia Park had Oman tied for 3rd with a 8 under in the round and 15 under for the event.

Round 3 was back at Kaposia Park Thursday, and Oman ended up 12 under in the round and 27 under in the event, putting him in 2nd.

Oman dropped back to 4th in the fourth round Friday, getting 4 under at Blue Ribbon Pines Disc Golf Course, bringing his total to 31 under.

In the finals of the event on Saturday, Oman was able to hit an ace on hole 10.

The ace helped to push Oman to tie for first at the end of regulation, with 12 under for the round.

Oman went into a playoff with Owensboro native Dutch Napier, who went from 15th on Day 1 to tie for 1st at the end of the Final.

In the Playoff Round, Oman and Napier both hit Birdies on Hole 1, but on Hole 18, Oman was able to hit Par, while Napier ended up with a Bogey.
