HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A suspected road rage driver used his truck to pin a woman’s car against a concrete wall on I-610, the Houston Police Department said.
It happened on Wednesday afternoon on the North Loop near Yale Street, one day before police announced a two-day crackdown on aggressive driving.
Police are concentrating on the North Loop between the Katy Freeway and East Freeway and plan to patrol again from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday.
Kareem Williams, 38, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Court records reveal he’s also wanted for an unspecified offense in Beauregard Parish, Louisiana.
Police said the victim told them the flare-up began when the truck driver cut her off.
When she honked in response, police say the truck began brake-checking her and tried to run her off the road.
Eventually, they say the truck pinned her vehicle against a barrier wall.
