After nearly two years, “Good Day New York” host Curt Menefee will soon be departing the television program, according to a recent report from Fox 5 News, which airs the longtime morning show.

The anchor recently confirmed that he will not be returning to co-host the long-running morning news show alongside Rosanna Scotto, according to the report.

Menefee, who lives on the West Coast, cited the work commute as the reason why he was stepping down, the outlet reports.

Menefee is the host for “Fox NFL Sunday.”

“It’s one of those things that has been a great time,” Menefee said while announcing the decision on Tuesday’s broadcast.

“You have been welcoming, the staff has been wonderful, but the back and forth has been a lot. My wife is there full time, and we see each other 20 hours a week,” he continued.

Menefee’s final broadcast of Good Day New York will be Friday, Dec. 19, according to Fox 5.
