JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – M.A.D. D.A.D.S., the community advocacy group known for fighting against crime in Jacksonville for more than 20 years, announced its dissolution on Monday, leaving some members blindsided by the decision.
In a news release, the M.A.D. D.A.D.S Jacksonville Chapter said its Board of Directors voted to dissolve the organization, effective Dec. 31, 2025.
“As the landscape of community service continues to evolve, the Board has made the intentional decision to step back and allow emerging organizations and new leadership to rise and meet the growing needs of the community. This decision reflects a shared commitment to sustainability, collaboration, and long-term impact beyond any single organization,” the release said.

A.J. Jordan, community outreach coordinator and a known spokesman of the anti-crime group, pushed back against the dissolution, telling News4JAX that the organization was still active but going through a transition period.
Jordan was unable to provide any further details on Monday, but also stated that the group was working to determine its next move. But state records show M.A.D. D.A.D.S. Jacksonville Chapter Inc. filed for voluntary dissolution last week.
The anti-crime group served Jacksonville for 23 years. The organization did not provide many details about what led to the chapter’s closure, but indicated that it followed the resignation of the president, Donald Foy, who had been dealing with health issues.
“Since its founding, M.A.D. D.A.D.S. Jacksonville has remained committed to mentorship, advocacy, and community engagement, collaborating with families, law enforcement, faith leaders, and community partners to strengthen neighborhoods and support positive outcomes for youth and fathers alike” the release said.
