An auto fire at a high-rise apartment building led to evacuations and traffic obstacles in downtown Los Angeles Sunday.
The fire on the fourth level of parking in the 11-story building in the 900 block of Broadway Street was reported around 1:25 p.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It was knocked down in about 35 minutes with no injuries or structural damage reported.
Smoke from the fire infiltrated up to the seventh floor, prompting smoke clearance operations. Crews were also addressing a water evacuation issue, according to the LAFD.
Traffic was temporarily shut down on Broadway between Ninth Street and 10th Street for overhaul operations.
