Fort Worth police unveiled a new Bell 505 helicopter today, expanding the department’s aerial fleet and boosting its ability to respond to emergencies and track violent crime from the air. Chief Eddie Garcia and Mayor Mattie Parker took a brief demonstration flight after the announcement, calling the aircraft an investment in the city’s future safety.
