OCD Anxiety Centers is opening a new facility in Arlington on Jan. 12 and will host a community open house that will serve as a grand opening celebration.

OCD Anxiety Centers said its 6,500-square-foot suite includes a combination of client group rooms, individual clinical offices, and shared space for clients and families in treatment.

The event will showcase the center’s Intensive Outpatient Program, which provides three hours of daily treatment, Monday through Friday, enabling its clients to receive concentrated care while maintaining their daily routines.

“Opening our doors to the Arlington community represents breaking down barriers surrounding anxiety and OCD treatment,” said Paul Peterson, founder and CEO of OCD Anxiety Centers. “Our intensive outpatient format has helped thousands reclaim their lives, achieving an average 64% symptom reduction. This open house is our invitation to discover how we can help transform lives through proven therapeutic approaches.”

According to the National Institute of Mental Health, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) can be a long-lasting disorder in which a person has uncontrollable, reoccurring thoughts or obsessions and compulsive behaviors that they feel the urge to repeat over and over. An estimated 8.2 million adults and at least 1 in 100 kids and teens are affected, according to the International OCD Foundation.

The company said that with the addition of the Arlington location, OCD Anxiety Centers now serves Texas through programs in Richardson, The Woodlands and a statewide virtual Intensive Outpatient Program.

OCD Anxiety Centers website states its program guides people ages 8 and up through effective treatment for generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder and body dysmorphic disorder. An OCD Anxiety Centers statement said that with 95% of clients accessing care via insurance and 79% achieving recovery, the program offers more than just hope.

“We’re excited to demonstrate how evidence-based treatment can make a profound difference,” said Amy Andra, Arlington program director. “Our program offers hope through structured, proven methods that help clients build confidence and regain control. We encourage anyone who knows someone struggling with anxiety or OCD to attend.”
