The fire department announced Moran’s death on social media last week but didn’t provide any details about his cause of death.
“We extend our thoughts and support to his family, friends, and fellow firefighters during this difficult time,” a statement from the fire department said.
Officials said Moran served “with dedication, professionalism, and heart” for over 20 years with Phoenix Fire.
