GLENDALE, Ariz. – The lockdown at Luke Air Force Base has been lifted following reports of an active shooter incident.
What they’re saying:
“Personnel on base have been directed to shelter in place and follow guidance from first responders. Law enforcement and emergency personnel are actively responding,” read a post from the Luke Air Force Base Facebook page. “The safety of our Airmen, families, and community is our top priority.”
Luke Air Force Base officials told FOX 10 the lockdown was lifted as of 11:21 a.m. on Dec. 19.
U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego responded on X about the incident:
“My team is closely monitoring reports of an active shooter at Luke Air Force Base in West Valley. Thank you to law enforcement and emergency crews for their swift response. Everyone in the area, please remain cautious as we continue to learn more.”
