Colton Smith is heading to Wimbledon.

The Arizona men’s tennis alum has secured a spot in tennis’ grass Grand Slam as a qualifier. The official qualifying singles draw will be released Sunday, June 22, with action getting underway the following day.

This is the second Grand Slam Smith has qualified for after graduating from Arizona in May. The All-American qualified for Roland Garros but lost in his first match.

Smith enters Wimbledon as the No. 146 overall player in the world according to the current ATP rankings. Smith did well on the ATP Challenger Tour this spring, reaching the finals of the Birmingham Classic in early June.

Smith is coming off a tremendous senior season at Arizona, where he went undefeated in singles play in dual matches. He finished the year as the No. 3 collegiate singles player.

Last week Smith was named ITA’s National Senior Player of the Year.

Smith’s run at Wimbledon qualifiers can be streamed on ESPN+. Qualifying begins at 3 a.m. MST.
