On Saturday, the 507-foot mini golf hole was set up in downtown Des Moines for people who wanted to come out and play.

Before Saturday, the record was 492 feet. On Saturday morning, people were able to go out to Cowles Commons in Des Moines and play the hole. The event, which was a part of UScellular’s Unplug & Play Day event, included activities for all ages such as face painting, mural painting, and a giant yard puzzle. Officials say the goal was to get communities to play games away from their screens. The record-breaking hole will head to a few other cities in the U.S. as UScellular travels with its Unplug & Play Day. It will be in Cedar Rapids on June 28, Green Bay, Wisconsin, on July 12, and Bangor, Maine, on July 26.
