Follow along for live updates of the Cowboys final home game of 2025 as they host the LA Chargers.

Welcome to the final home game thread for the Dallas Cowboys’ 2025 season. After being eliminated from the playoff chase by virtue of the Philadelphia Eagles‘ win on Saturday, the 6-7-1 Cowboys are now focused on finishing the season strong to propel them into next season.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer will look to finish the season with a winning record against the NFC as they try once again to pull to .500 in his first year.

Follow all of the action here, chronologically, as the team tries to put a complete game together for the first time in a few weeks. The Los Angeles Chargers, winners of three in a row and sitting in second place in the AFC West, are seeking their 11th win on the season.

Second play of the second half, Herbert to Johnston for 50.

That play led to a Chargers’ field goal to increase their lead to 7.

The Cowboys and Chargers traded punts, then the Cowboys drove but failed on 4th-and-1 to keep their drive alive.

  • Cowboys have 1st-and-10 at the LAC 11 to start the quarter, continuing their previous drive.
  • Holding penalty on LT Smith negates a TD pass to Flournoy.
  • Aubrey nails a 33-yard FG
  • Chargers get the lead back as Ladd McConkey gets behind Trevon Diggs on a wheel route.
  • The Cowboys answered right back after a 13-yard completion to Flournoy plus a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
  • Prescott sends a beautiful dime down the left sideline to Pickens for a 38-yard score.
  • The Chargers are now 3-for-3 with touchdown drives, as Herbert plows it into the end zone at the end of an 8-minute drive.
  • Cowboys are starting Tyler Smith at left tackle. More details here.
  • Chargers win the toss and defer, Cowboys get the opening possession.
  • Cooper Beebe was poked in the eye and replaced at center by Brock Hoffman.
  • With completions to George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb early, Dak Prescott finds Ryan Flournoy from six yards out for the score, his fourth receiving TD on the year.
  • Chargers start at their own 35 after the kickoff. Bad coverage as usual by Dallas’ special teams.
  • LA marches down the field and Herbert places a perfect pass to Quentin Johnston for the one-handed TD grab over Shavon Revel.
  • Cowboys start at their own 29 on their second drive.
  • Cooper Beebe (eye) has returned to the lineup.
  • The final play of the quarter is Prescott to Lamb on third down to move the chains and give Lamb 1,000 receiving yards for the fifth year in a row.

CB Trevon Diggs will see his first action since Week 6, as the team moved CB Daron Bland to IR this week. Diggs was added to the 53-man roster Saturday, the final day of his 21-day practice window. One step forward, two steps back though as the defense will be without Quinnen Williams, who suffered a concussion during the team’s loss to Minnesota in Week 15. Perrion Winfrey, who signed with the club over the summer after an outstanding spring league season, will get his first action of the year.
