The clock is winding down for your last chance to visit two iconic Chicago Christmas traditions for the 2025 holiday season.

Monday, the Chicago Transit Authority’s final holiday train of 2025 will be on the Yellow Line at Howard from 3:08 p.m. until 6:53 p.m. and Dempster-Skokie from 3:22 p.m. until 7:07 p.m., the agency said.

And, the last day for the famous Christkindlmarket at Daley Plaza is Dec. 24, Christmas Eve, according to organizers. That day, the market is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Christmas Eve is also the final day for the Christkindlmarket in suburban Aurora, at RiverEdge Park. The market there will be open the same hours, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for its final day.

The market’s third location, at Gallagher Way in Wrigleyville, will stay open a bit longer.

This week, the market is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. While the Wrigleyville location is closed on Christmas Day, it is open Dec. 26 through the end of December, with its final day of operation on Christmas Eve.
