HOUSTON – Authorities in west Houston are trying to figure out what led up to a deadly, fiery crash late Sunday night.

It happened a little before 11:45 p.m. when the Houston Police and Fire Department were called to the Katy Freeway feeder road and Gessner.

A driver was found dead inside the charred vehicle, which had been badly smashed into a pole. It’s unclear what led up to the incident, and the driver has not been identified, as of this writing.
