Coronado’s first-ever Coronado Gives campaign was made possible in part by the generous support of local business Nicolls Design Build, owned by longtime island resident Kraig Nicolls. He joins the Coronado Eagle & Journal, the Coronado Times, and fellow local business owner, Bo Blumenthal with Blumenthal Insurance, in sponsoring the 2025 Coronado Gives Campaign. The campaign brings the community together to support Coronado families and residents through local nonprofit organizations that know our island best.

“As a local business owner, I see every day how much neighbors look out for one another,” said Nicolls. “Supporting Coronado Gives just made sense — it’s about strengthening the community we live and work in and making sure everyone has the support they need to thrive.”

Nicolls Design Build’s sponsorship reflects the island spirit of giving that defines Coronado. Local businesses play a vital role in sustaining programs that provide connection, care, and resources for residents of all ages. The sponsorship ensures that each donation made to Coronado Gives goes directly back to the community.

Coronado Gives is a giving campaign sponsored by the Coronado Eagle & Journal and The Coronado Times and hosted by the Coronado Community Foundation. All proceeds benefit the residents of Coronado through 501(c)(3) organizations serving the Coronado community. Donors will receive a 100% tax-deductible receipt from the Coronado Community Foundation via email or U.S. Mail.
