WATERFORD, Conn. (WFSB) – A Philadelphia woman was arrested Thursday on for using a fraudulent credit card to purchase more than $7,000 worth of jewelry from a local business.
Candace Johnson-Jefferson, 36, was taken into custody Dec. 18 with assistance from the Bethel Police Department.
She was charged with third-degree larceny and illegal use of a payment card.
The fraudulent purchase occurred June 4 at a local business, according to the Waterford Police Department.
The department’s Investigative Service Division conducted an investigation and secured an arrest warrant for Johnson-Jefferson.
Johnson-Jefferson was held on $25,000 bond and later arraigned in court.
