The Los Angeles–based Pilates brand will soon have four studios in New York City, with upcoming locations adding to its presence in SoHo and the Upper East Side
Natural Pilates, the West Coast–born boutique fitness brand known for its contemporary, athletic approach to classical Pilates, is accelerating its New York City expansion with plans to open two additional studios in early 2026.
The growth comes as the brand’s Upper East Side location officially opens, marking another step in Natural Pilates’ broader national expansion strategy.
The first of the two upcoming studios will open on the Upper West Side in January 2026, bringing the brand’s precise, form-focused programming to a neighborhood with strong demand for Pilates. A second location is scheduled to open in the Flatiron District in February or March 2026, placing Natural Pilates in one of Manhattan’s most competitive fitness corridors.
“I immigrated to the United States from Romania in 2002 with just $100 to my name,” Natural Pilates founder Laura Wilson told Athletech News of her journey in starting the brand. “I started out cleaning houses and hotel rooms before enrolling in a massage therapy program, which led me to a job in a physical therapy office where I discovered Pilates. I opened my first studio in Beverly Hills in 2005 and built it one client at a time.”

The new openings follow the Natural Pilates’ recent launch in Miami and build on its established footprint in Los Angeles, where it operates four studios. With the addition of the Upper West Side and Flatiron locations, the company will operate four studios across New York City, including its Upper East Side and SoHo locations.
“New York continues to be one of our strongest markets, and we’re thrilled to deepen our presence with two new studios,” Wilson said. “Our approach has always been about accessible athleticism, classes that are challenging yet supportive, and rooted in precise technique. Expanding on both the Upper West Side and in Flatiron reflects the growing demand we’re seeing from clients who want effective, sustainable movement they can return to year after year.”
