All aboard! Philadelphia’s holiday season is officially rolling — and it’s brighter, merrier, and more interactive than ever.

City Sightseeing Philadelphia is hosting its popular Holiday Light Show Trolley Tours, running now through Jan. 5, 2026, offering locals and visitors a new way to experience the city’s most beloved seasonal displays. The 90-minute tours combine sightseeing, music, history, and holiday cheer aboard fully decorated Victorian-style trolleys, creating what organizers are calling a “four-in-one” Christmas experience.

Departing from the historic Bourse Building in Old City, each tour weaves through some of Philadelphia’s most iconic holiday destinations. Along the way, guests are treated to live singing, festive trivia and giveaways.

The illuminated route includes drive-bys of Christmas Village at Love Park, City Hall, the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market, Dilworth Park, the Comcast Center, and Washington Square Park. Trolleys also make stop-and-stroll visits to three of the city’s most celebrated light displays: Franklin Square, Smedley Street and The Miracle on 13th Street.

New this year, City Sightseeing is pairing twinkling lights with a quintessential Philly bite. In partnership with Skinny Joey’s Cheesesteaks, the company has introduced a Holiday Cheesesteak and Light Tour, which includes a dedicated stop at the popular cheesesteak spot. The experience lets guests arrive in true holiday fashion — trolley bells ringing — before enjoying an authentic, made-to-order cheesesteak as part of the outing.

All tours are BYOB for those that want to bring Christmas cheer. Decorated trollies can hold from 23 to 43 passengers, and are available for individual trolley tours and also to charter for a private holiday tour. Handicap-accessible trolleys with lifts are also available by request.

Tours run seven days a week through Jan. 5, 2026, including Christmas Day, with departures every 15 minutes from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Prices start at $49.99, with both adult and children’s tickets available.
