Suffolk police are seeking help in locating Breone’a Haskett Lee, who allegedly took her children to Dallas.
SUFFOLK, Va. — Suffolk police are investigating a potential parental abduction that may have taken the suspect and children to Dallas, police said.
Suffolk police were notified of the potential parental abduction on Dec. 9, according to a press release from the police department. It allegedly happened on Dec. 7.
Police said investigators determined that Breone’a Haskett Lee took her two children on Dec. 7 to go Christmas shopping but never returned the children that evening as promised.
The children are Angel Blake, 7, and A’Briella Blake, 6.
Further investigations have revealed Haskett Lee allegedly brought the children back to her home in Dallas, Texas, and enrolled them in school there. She does not have primary custody of her children and was not granted permission to take them out of state, police said.
Efforts to get Haskett Lee to return the children have not succeeded, police said. They have obtained two warrants against her for violation of court order outside Commonwealth of Virginia.
The children are not considered to be in danger.
