A 65-year-old woman was bashed repeatedly in the head with a laptop on a Manhattan subway train after she struck up a conversation with her attacker, leaving her hospitalized, cops said Tuesday.
The NYPD released photos of the suspect on the train in the Dec. 9 attack and asked the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.
The victim was chatting with the assailant on an uptown W train approaching the Rector St. station in the Financial District when he suddenly pulled a laptop from his backpack and bludgeoned her with it multiple times in the head about 10:20 a.m., cops said.
The woman staggered off the train at the Rector St. stop and medics took her to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Lower Manhattan in stable condition.

Her attacker got off the train at the Canal St. stop and has not been caught, cops said. He is described as heavyset and in his 30s.
