CHICAGO (WLS) — The outbound Kennedy Expressway has reopened on Chicago’s Northwest Side after a shooting investigation, officials said Wednesday morning.
State police said a possible shooting took place about 4 a.m. near Division Street on Interstate 90.

Troopers were on the highway about 6:45 a.m., appearing to investigate.

All outbound lanes were closed from Augusta Boulevard to North Avenue, the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications said.
No injuries have been reported, police said.
The closure caused some backups on the highway, but the road reopened about 7 a.m.
The road closed again at Division Street about 8 a.m. and reopened around 8:30 a.m.
The shutdowns come on Christmas Eve morning, as some are likely headed to O’Hare airport.
