PHOENIX — Authorities canceled a SAFE Alert on Tuesday morning for a 66-year-old man from Phoenix who had been been missing since November.

Ricardo Gibson was found safely at a local hospital, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

When the alert was first issued, Gibson was last seen on Nov. 27 in the area of 32nd Street and Cactus Road.

Gibson was described as 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 190 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He has a medical condition that can cause him to appear confused and forgetful.

SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons who are 65 and older and missing persons who have dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
