Just in time for the holidays, Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport has introduced a new parking system to guide drivers to open spots and improve traffic flow.

The camera-based guidance system is located in the Terminal 3 Garage. It uses sensors to monitor each parking space in real time, providing accurate occupancy data and visual indicators to direct drivers to available spaces on each level.

“While it is complicated technology, from a user perspective, it’s very simple: Just look for the green light and you’ll find a space to the right or the left and the light even tells you which way to go,” airport spokesman Jon Brodsky said.

Sky Harbor is working with parking manager ACE Parking on the Portier VISION system. The airport is piloting the system in the Terminal 3 Garage, which has more than 2,000 parking spots, with plans to expand to the larger Terminal 4 garage.

All customers parking at Phoenix Sky Harbor during the holiday season are encouraged to reserve a spot to ensure they can find parking at the airport.
