The First-In Fire Foundation donated a Firehouse Emergency Preparedness Pantry to LAFD Station 58 at 1556 S. Robertson Blvd. on Dec. 7 along with 12 bags of non-perishable food to fill the pantry. The donation was made in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky, 5th District.
“We totally appreciate the leadership, vision and generosity of Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky, a champion for local ‘Partners in Preparedness.’” First-In Fire Foundation president MacEwen Cohen said.
First-In Fire Foundation provides essentials to firefighters, who often don’t have time to shop for food and prepare nutritious meals.
“Your dedication to uplifting the men and women of the LAFD has made a profound and lasting impact on our department and the communities we serve,” LAFD Chief Jamie Moore said to members of the foundation. “The First-In Fire Foundation has long been a champion for the community with engagement and programs that directly enhance our ability to protect the people of Los Angeles … and continue to enrich the lives of our citizens and strengthen the bond between the communities we proudly serve.”
