PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is dead after a shooting in north Phoenix on Thursday afternoon.
Just after 1 p.m., a woman waved down a police officer near 13th Avenue and Sequoia Drive, just south of Loop 101, saying someone had been shot at a nearby home, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
When officers arrived and entered the home, they found a man who had been shot. He died on the scene.
Police say the suspect left before officers arrived, and have secured the area and are working to identify witnesses and locate surveillance footage.
Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
