Gunfire erupted on a residential street in the Antelope Valley on Christmas Day, leaving one teenager dead and four other people wounded.

Deputies from the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station responded to the 1000 block of East Angela Court in Lancaster after receiving a report of a shooting victim around 1 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

When deputies arrived, they found a gunshot victim, a 16-year-old boy, unconscious on the street. Life-saving measures, including CPR, were performed, but the victim later died from their wounds.

As deputies secured the scene, a second shooting victim was located, prompting requests for additional ambulances and fire department resources, according to news video service Key News Network. That victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

A third possible gunshot victim later arrived at Antelope Valley Medical Center by private vehicle, where deputies responded to assist and continue the investigation, according to KNN.
