Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers wasted no time showcasing her talent in her rookie season, emerging as one of the league’s brightest young stars despite her team’s struggles. Even with the Wings falling short collectively, Bueckers’ individual brilliance earned her Rookie of the Year honors and accelerated her rise as another face of the WNBA.
Already a trailblazer as the first college athlete to receive her own Nike shoe, Bueckers now appears to be on track for a full signature line with the sportswear giant. However, while the milestone signals another major step in her growing brand, early reactions from fans suggest the rumored logo design has missed the mark.
WNBA Fans Sound Off on Paige Bueckers’ Nike Logo
Bueckers made headlines earlier this year by releasing her own Nike PE sneaker. Her G.T. Hustle 3 became the first basketball shoe created by a college athlete in the NIL era, marking a major milestone in her growing partnership with the sportswear giant.
According to Sneaker & Streetwear Legal Services on X, Nike filed a trademark application earlier this month for “a bucket design incorporating the stylized letters PB within the design,” offering a glimpse of what reportedly could be the next phase of their collaboration.
Fans were quick to weigh in and disapprove of the design.
“paige you my dawg. this is the worst logo in the history of sports,” one user wrote.
“This must be for somebody who Nike hates because this is bad. Turrible even,” added another.

Bueckers’ first shoe, the G.T. Hustle 3, featured several deeply personal touches. Designed in her favorite colorway, the sneaker included a text bubble reading “Be You, Be Great,” a nod to the message her father shares with her before every game, along with her last name, “Bueckers,” printed on the right heel.
By contrast, the rumored logo design appears to feature little beyond her initials, “PB,” which only fueled criticism.
“Paige Bueckers branded stuff would slap, but… I absolutely hate this logo,” wrote one fan.
“this logo looks like trash, specifically a trash bin,” added another.
However, not everyone was entirely unimpressed, with one writing, “This is the logo from her GT Hustles PEs. I like the other logo with the P5 that looks like a B when combined with the P for PB5 better. But I’ll take anything Paige! Lol.”
“I actually kinda fw this,” wrote another.

For now, the logo remains unconfirmed, and some have speculated it could even belong to NBA forward Paolo Banchero, though that appears unlikely given the context.
Last season, the Wings selected Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick, making her the first UConn women’s basketball player taken first overall since Breanna Stewart. She quickly lived up to expectations, averaging 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists, and many believe she is poised to become one of the WNBA’s dominant stars for years to come.
