A Chicago suburb will soon get its own limited-edition Monopoly game, and residents can weigh in on what local spots and businesses should be featured.

Next year, Hasbro and toy company Top Trumps USA will debut a Monopoly: Naperville edition, according to a news release, with locals encouraged to decide what “can’t-miss” places should be on it.

“Naperville holds a unique blend of small-town charm, big-city amenities, and a community that’s really proud of its roots,” Top Trumps representative Lindsay Wallace said in the release. “With MONOPOLY: Naperville Edition, we want the board to feel like a true reflection of what locals and visitors love most about this city. From local gems and family-run businesses to historic Naperville staples, we would love for everyone to get on board and send us recommendations of their favorite places around town.”

The Naperville edition will replace the board game’s iconic squares from Boardwalk to Park Place with local businesses, nonprofits and landmarks. It will also include a customized Community Chest, Chance playing cards and Monopoly money, all paying homage to Naperville in some way, the release said.

According to organizers, nominations are now open. Public submissions can be sent to naperville@toptrumps.com, or on the game’s website here.

“Selections are ongoing now through March 6,” the release said, with early submissions having the “highest chance of claiming a spot.” Organizers did not immediately respond to NBC Chicago’s request for more information about how locations would be selected.

Monopoly: Naperville edition will debut in fall of 2026, the release said, and will be sold at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, online and select Naperville retailers.

Other community versions of Monopoly include Grand Rapids, Michigan; Boulder, Colorado and Saint Paul, Minnesota.
