Rochester, N.Y. – Local leaders announced the completion of a $6.2 million painting project on the Douglass-Anthony Bridge on Friday.

This is the first preventative maintenance project on the bridge since it was constructed in 2007, and was funded with support from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

For the project, multiple coats of paint were applied to the bridge for added resilience against the elements, and it is expected to last 10-15 years before another application is necessary.
