David Moyes is hopeful Jack Grealish will be fit to return for Everton when they face Nottingham Forest next week. The 30-year-old missed the 0-0 draw at Burnley with a virus.
Grealish had trained with the Blues squad on Tuesday but was unable to feature at Turf Moor. Asked how long he would be out for, Moyes said: “This week, with a bit of luck.”
Should Grealish be fit for the trip to the City Ground this coming Tuesday it would represent a major boost for Everton ahead of a tough game in the east Midlands.

The Blues boss is currently without attacking midfielders Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Iliman Ndiaye and the loss of Grealish – the third part of a dynamic forward line – left his side devoid of quality at Burnley.
Moyes later admitted: “I wouldn’t have wanted to come and watch that myself.”
While forwards Beto and Thierno Barry both forced Martin Dubravka into good saves, and Everton could have had a second-half penalty when Tyler Dibling’s strike hit the arm of Jaiden Anthony, they were poor throughout and escaped with a point after Jacob Bruun Larsen and Zian Flemming missed one-on-ones.
After the game, Moyes said: “Missing Ili and missing Kiernan, we know we’re losing creativity, and without Jack as well, that doesn’t help, so it was always going to be a bit of a challenge.
“But I really hoped we would play much better than we did.
“That was probably as poor as we’ve played in some games. Our football wasn’t good enough and lots of bits just weren’t at the level I hoped they would be.
“But look, you get a clean sheet, you take a point away, Burnley’s never been that easy to come to and get a result.
“We’ll go away with the point and maybe it’ll prove important later on in the season.”
